Getting So big

Everyone is asking for more pictures of Hannah. She is growing up so fast. She wants to move around all the time. I am in trouble when she learns to crawl. She loves to play in Grandma Perry's Saucer. When we were at Grandmas house on Sunday Blair put on a Santa hat and we couldn't help but take pictures.

More Traditions

Another tradition in Blair's family is to decorate Gingerbread houses. It is a good tradition to start. It was so much fun. Blair's was the best looking one. I wasn't able to help much because I had to take care of Hannah. But Here are a few pictures of the houses. Ours is on the end.

Traditions

Sorry it has been awhile sense I have last blogged. Let me catch you up to date. It is tradition in Blair's family to go Christmas tree hunting after Thanksgiving. So the day after Thanksgiving we went up by the East fork of the bear and we went hunting.

After about 2hours of hunting. We found the trees we wanted. One of the trees was down by a river bank. It was on the ledge. Blair and to Pull on the tree so when it finally cut it wouldn't fall in the water.

I couldn't wait to get home and decorate the tree. I love having a real tree in the house. It smells so good. I am so excited for Christmas.

Such a cute Butterfly

It was Hannah's first year of Halloween. I can't say she loved it because she went to sleep the first step we took outside to go trick or treating. We were able to go to dads work during the day. She was awake for that. Dad got to dress up for work. He dressed up as his day off. He bushed out his beard and spiked his hair. Grandma Merkley bought Hannah a Butterfly for Halloween. She looked so cute. We were not able to due the hat on her head up. Because of her double chin it would fit all the way. Next year we will try to get her to stay awake.

Our First Home

Time for another posting. This one has been about 3 months or more in the making. Blair and I bought our own place. We have been living at his parents house since the beginning of March. We knew we didn’t want to stay there for too long. We used the time to save but also to get a few things that would have been otherwise impossible (like our camcorder for use with Hannah). We spent some time looking at a lot of different places. It was getting quite frustrating trying to find a place that was in our small budget but wasn’t a total pit.
We were turned onto a place by my mom up in Bountiful. We looked at the website for the place and saw the price was within our range so we thought what else do we have to lose. We went up, looked through a few of the available units. We both felt good about it so we decided to jump on the opportunity. This complex was formerly apartments and a group of people bought it and were converting all the units into condominiums. The unit Blair and I decided on was totally gutted as seen by some of the pictures. The developers were willing to re-do everything from the flooring to the paint to the doors and light fixtures. To have them do it would have tacked on approximately $14,000 to $15,000 which didn’t seem like that great of a deal.
Blair’s dad, Von, is into the cabinet and granite countertop business so with that and a few other connections with various people we decided to fix it up ourselves. Like I said this has been about 3 months in the making. Blair has spent just about every night after work up here working with whoever is willing to help. We had my dad here to help with the tiling. When I say help I mean he pretty much did it while Blair watched and learned how to lay tile. My dad also helped with the baseboards and just quite a bit of other stuff. Blair’s family and friends also came and helped quite a bit, painting and putting the cabinets in place and everything like that. I have never seen Blair work so hard and for so long on anything. He was great to get everything organized and finished while still keeping his sanity.
Well that is the long version of the story. I think our new place look fantastic. Both Blair and I are so excited to be on our own again and to be in a place that is all our own. These pictures are obviously some before and mostly after shots of our place.

Cousins

I was able to Watch Noah, Hannah's cousin for a few hours one day. I got to see what it was like to have twins. It was hard but fun work seeing that they are so close in age. They also had the same time schedule so it made everything tricky. But I was able to play with both of them and get some great pictures of both of them.

Bath Time

Everynight before bed, Hannah gets a bath. She loves them. She will just sit there so relaxed. Here are a few pictures of Grandma Perry giving Hannah a bath.

Hannah is getting so big. She is doing a great job at holding her head up. She will sit and talk and smile at me. It is so great to watch them smile at you. Hannah loves to grunt. She is always grunting. She does love her swing. She is always in it. Hannah is getting so big. She has out grown her 0-3 month old outfits. She is now in her 3-6 month old outfits. We can't believe how big she is getting. Everyday her hair is getting more and more red. But we are loving it. She is just so cute.

The new member

Blair and I had a baby girl July 22, 2007. I was not due till August 4, 2007. But she came early with the help of me. I went to the doctor on Friday and he said that I was dilated to a 3 and 80% efaced. I went home and jumped on the trampoline. I used the stairs like a stair master. I also ran a hill and that Saturday night I took some Caster Oil. I woke up in pain. We started counting the contractions and when they were one minute apart. we went to the hospital. I was dilated to a 8. They gave me my epidural and I started pushing around 9:05 A.M. I had Hannah Marie Perry. at 9:18 A.M. She was so beautiful. She came out with Red hair. Blair and I both looked at each other. We were not wanting a red head. To this day her hair is getting more and more red. But we love her red hair and all. A little while after Hannah was born she started turning purple. The doctors were not sure what it was. After taking her to ICU and finding out she had reflux pretty badly we were able to take her home on Monday the 24th. We love her. She has been so great. She is getting so big. We look forward to watching her grow up.

Blair and I were married September 16, 2006 in the Salt Lake temple. We were planning on a reception outside in my parents back yard. It was going to look great. That morning I woke up to rain. It rained almost all day. When it wasn't raining it was snowing. We had the first snow that day. You can snow in some of our wedding pictures. Because of the snow we had to move the reception inside my parents house. It was a little crowded. But that is OK It ended up being a great day. The next morning we went to Hawaii for our honeymoon. It was so great. I loved it there. We want to go back but take some friends with us. When the sun set it was so awesome. We were right on the beach. Blair also lost his wedding ring in the ocean. I told him to take it off before we went snorkeling. He told me that nothing could take his ring off. It was a good thing we had insurance on it. We went snorkeling right off the rocks by our place. We got banged up really good. I was bleeding a little bit. I was scared a shark was going to smell the blood and come after me. I am so scared of sharks. I did keep going snorkeling. It was a ton of fun.

I meet a wonderful man at my work on March 10th. I saw him and couldn't resist. We ended up talking all night on Friday. We went out on a date Saturday night. We had a great time. We went out to dinner with Blair's friends, Cami and Nino. We then later went to get ice cream and watch a movie. Blair came over Sunday to my house and played games with my family. I knew the day I met him at work that he was the one that I was going to marry. I was still scared of getting into a relationship with a jerk. So I had to put him to the test. To this day Blair tells me how mean I was. I keep apologizing. But I will always get reminded of it. Here are a few pictures of us while we are dating. We ended up dating for 3 months and we were engaged for 3. I kept telling Blair he needed to ask me to marry him. He kept putting it off. One day I came home from work and I walked in the door and there was Blair in a suit with 2 dozen roses. He started talking to me and asked me to marry him. I was shaking so bad. I was so excited. We went out to the roof that night for dinner. After we went and showed off to family and friends.
