Finally a warm day

After all the cold days we have had. we finally got a warm day. Blair had a day off so we went to the park. Hannah got to swing and go on the slide. She loved it. I can't wait for more days so we can go outside more often.

Crawling

Hannah can now crawl. It is so cute. She is getting so fast at it. She started to crawl backwards Feb 18. It was so cute. She couldn't figure out how to go forwards. She finally figured it out on Fed 28. She was 7 months and a few days. That same day she decided that if she can crawl she is going to pull her self up to standing. She is growing up so fast. It is so fun to see her grow up.

Valentines

For Valentines I wanted to do something great for Blair. We didn't have any money to go out anywhere. I knew I wanted to do something great at home. I got steak and shrimp but there was one problem. I didn't know how to cook Steak. So I had to tell him I was doing dinner for him. But I never told him that I was setting the table to look great. As he walked in the door the lights were out and the candles were lighting up the place. We had a great dinner. In the middle of dinner Hannah woke up and finished eating with us. Here are some pictures of the table.
Valentines morning I came into the family room to find that Blair got me a highchair for Hannah. It was getting hard to feed her on my lap. In the Highchair was a teddy bear for Hannah. Hannah loves it. Here are some pictures of her using it for the first time. She loves to eat. As you can tell it is everywhere. I love the highchair. I love my husband. Thank you honey.

I love bath time

Hannah loves bath time. Ever time we get her undressed to get in the tub. She starts kicking her legs and smiling. She gets so excite. Hannah has a rubber duck that she love. She will put the head of the duck in her mouth and it will never leave the whole time she is in the tub. I think she loves to chew on the head because she is teething. It has got to feel good. She is the cutest.

To crawl or not to crawl

So Hannah wants to crawl so bad. Blair has been putting her on her knees and helping her along. She gets on her knees and rocks back and forth but she is not sure what to do from there. She just ends up getting back on her tummy. One of these days she will crawl. It will be so nice.

6 Months

Hannah is getting so big. She is now 6 months. I think it has gone by so quickly. It doesn't seem that long ago that all she did was sleep and now she is rolling everywhere. I put her on one side of the room and in 30 seconds she is to the other side of the room. She loves to smile and give kisses. She loves bath time. She loves being in the water and would play all night no matter how cold the water was.

Blair's parents have been flipping a house for about 6 months now. It is almost finished. There will be an open house Saturday the 26th. You should all come see it. It looks great. The address is 2030 E. Logan Avenue, (approximately 1625 S.) in Salt Lake. The pictures don't do it justice. The open house is from 9-5. If you know of anyone that is looking to buy a beautiful home let them know.

5 Months

Wow. Sorry it has been so long sense the last time I wrote. Time just flies by. Hannah is getting so big. She will be 6 months on the 22nd. I can't believe it. She has got two front teeth on the bottom. She has learned how roll over from her back to her stomach. She can't figure how to get back the other way. Once she gets on her stomach is can't figure out how to get to that toy that she wants. But she is picking it up really fast.
Hannah loves her food. She has cereal in the mornings, and she has a vegetables and fruit for lunch and dinner. She loves her food. I can't seem to give it to her fast enough. Her favorite food is Sweet Potatoes and corn, and she loves peaches. But Peaches are my favorite fruit. So she is like me.
Blair and I can't believe how big she is getting. She is go much fun to be with. She loves to talk. For New Years we went to my aunts. When we got home Hannah all of a sudden got a second high. She wouldn't stop talking and screaming. Blair tried to wear her out by playing with her. It wasn't working. We finally put her in her crib and just turned out all the lights. We could still hear her in her crib just talking away. She finally went to sleep around 1:30 in the morning. She is just a talker.
Blair is doing great with his job. He got transferred to another branch. he is now on 1st south and main. He was sad to be leaving the branch at trolley square. But hopefully this new branch will be good.
Blair and I got a calling in our ward. We are ward missionaries and we teach gospel principals class. It will be a great experience for both of us.
As for me I am still at home watching two kids. I love it because I am able to stay at home and be a mom. i am so lucky to have a husband that lets me do this. I am so grateful for him. I love him. He is such a great dad. He loves his family.
Well till next time. hopefully it wont be long. We love you all.
I am not able to put pictures on right now. But I will put another blog of pictures from our Christmas that was great. And a few that we have from Hannah.

Getting So big

Everyone is asking for more pictures of Hannah. She is growing up so fast. She wants to move around all the time. I am in trouble when she learns to crawl. She loves to play in Grandma Perry's Saucer. When we were at Grandmas house on Sunday Blair put on a Santa hat and we couldn't help but take pictures.

More Traditions

Another tradition in Blair's family is to decorate Gingerbread houses. It is a good tradition to start. It was so much fun. Blair's was the best looking one. I wasn't able to help much because I had to take care of Hannah. But Here are a few pictures of the houses. Ours is on the end.

Traditions

Sorry it has been awhile sense I have last blogged. Let me catch you up to date. It is tradition in Blair's family to go Christmas tree hunting after Thanksgiving. So the day after Thanksgiving we went up by the East fork of the bear and we went hunting.

After about 2hours of hunting. We found the trees we wanted. One of the trees was down by a river bank. It was on the ledge. Blair and to Pull on the tree so when it finally cut it wouldn't fall in the water.

I couldn't wait to get home and decorate the tree. I love having a real tree in the house. It smells so good. I am so excited for Christmas.

Such a cute Butterfly

It was Hannah's first year of Halloween. I can't say she loved it because she went to sleep the first step we took outside to go trick or treating. We were able to go to dads work during the day. She was awake for that. Dad got to dress up for work. He dressed up as his day off. He bushed out his beard and spiked his hair. Grandma Merkley bought Hannah a Butterfly for Halloween. She looked so cute. We were not able to due the hat on her head up. Because of her double chin it would fit all the way. Next year we will try to get her to stay awake.

Our First Home

Time for another posting. This one has been about 3 months or more in the making. Blair and I bought our own place. We have been living at his parents house since the beginning of March. We knew we didn’t want to stay there for too long. We used the time to save but also to get a few things that would have been otherwise impossible (like our camcorder for use with Hannah). We spent some time looking at a lot of different places. It was getting quite frustrating trying to find a place that was in our small budget but wasn’t a total pit.
We were turned onto a place by my mom up in Bountiful. We looked at the website for the place and saw the price was within our range so we thought what else do we have to lose. We went up, looked through a few of the available units. We both felt good about it so we decided to jump on the opportunity. This complex was formerly apartments and a group of people bought it and were converting all the units into condominiums. The unit Blair and I decided on was totally gutted as seen by some of the pictures. The developers were willing to re-do everything from the flooring to the paint to the doors and light fixtures. To have them do it would have tacked on approximately $14,000 to $15,000 which didn’t seem like that great of a deal.
Blair’s dad, Von, is into the cabinet and granite countertop business so with that and a few other connections with various people we decided to fix it up ourselves. Like I said this has been about 3 months in the making. Blair has spent just about every night after work up here working with whoever is willing to help. We had my dad here to help with the tiling. When I say help I mean he pretty much did it while Blair watched and learned how to lay tile. My dad also helped with the baseboards and just quite a bit of other stuff. Blair’s family and friends also came and helped quite a bit, painting and putting the cabinets in place and everything like that. I have never seen Blair work so hard and for so long on anything. He was great to get everything organized and finished while still keeping his sanity.
Well that is the long version of the story. I think our new place look fantastic. Both Blair and I are so excited to be on our own again and to be in a place that is all our own. These pictures are obviously some before and mostly after shots of our place.
